Quick and Dirty... Look Who's Thirty???

Trav celebrated his 30th birthday in January! It was a fun-filled weekend. On Friday night (day before his b-day), we had a some friends over for dinner, watched the Jazz game, and played games. Trav made Cafe Rio Sweet Pork. On my way home from work, I bought a Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake to surprise him with. Sometime during the night, Dennise snuck over and hung up this sign. Barb decorated Trav's new office for his birthday. It works out pretty well when your mom works in the same building as you!

On Saturday, we went to a matinee at Hale Center theater. We have season tickets. The play was well done, we just didn't love it! Afterwards, we stopped for lunch/dinner at Moochie's in Salt Lake. They have been featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives";  Trav had also heard about them from someone at work. Trav got the meatball sub and I got a philly cheesesteak sandwich; their signatures and SO YUMMY!! When we got home that night, both of our families came over to celebrate and we had ice cream sundaes and/or rootbeer floats. Trav doesn't like cake.

Trav also started a new job in January. He is still on HAFB, but he is working the department that does funding  for the minute man missiles (?). We are grateful because, otherwise, Trav was up for his rotation of doing graveyards. We are excited because in the long run it will be more money. In the meantime, he still has every other Friday off and works from 6:30-4:00.
