Christmas....

Trav and I decided to down-size our Christmas this year. Usually, since there are only two of us, we tend to spoil each other. However, we decided we would do less for Christmas and go do something fun/special for our birthdays; we both turn thirty this year.

I was surprised with a new coat; I have been needing one for ages and Trav hates that I kept stealing one of his. He also got me a gift certificate to get a massage. I got a hot stones massage back in November and now I am totally addicted! Trav is not a big fan of getting clothes for Christmas; I was so proud of myself because I did not buy him one clothing item. I had rememberd that during the summer Trav had told me that he wanted some Keen shoes that he had seen my family wearing down at Lake Powell and he also had mentioned in the summer that he wanted a charcoal chimney starter and a lid lifter for the dutch ovens. So, I totally got to surprise him, which almost never happens. Other than that, we just got each other odds and ends; books, video game, etc.

We enjoyed spending the day with all of our family. Everyone was so generous and we felt so lucky!

The biggest surprise came when my mom and dad surprised my whole family with a trip to DisneyWorld. We are going in June after school gets out. Everyone is so excited and it's fun to have something for everyone to talk about, plan for, and look forward to! It was cute becuase my mom and dad had all the grandkids bring up the sacks with our trip info and pass them out. All of us started yelling, screaming, being excited, etc. but the kids didn't know what was going on. Once we explained it to them, they all joined in on the excitement, too! Each family will get their own room in a hotel on Disney property, we have non-stop flights, and we get 6 days to bounce between all of the Disney parks! Thanks mom and dad!! We love you and are so excited to make these memories!

Another mentionable moment from December...my sweet and amazing dad turned 60! We love you Dad!! My sweet and amazing mom turned 58 during December!
