The Walls Came Tumbling Down...

Last night our friends, Rex and Jaime, came over for dinner. Then, Rex was going to help Trav put in the beam and start some framing. First, they had to support the ceiling with floor jacks and cut out the wall that was there. Then, it was time....FOR THE BEAM!!! Jaimie and I sat on the couch talking and laughing while the boys did their thing, and we all kind of talked and laughed togther. Jaimie and I kept laughing and teasing that we were waiting for the ceiling with the bedroom and bathroom from upstairs to come crashing down. Obviously, that didn't happen. In addition to getting the beam in, the boys also got part of the bathroom floor framed. Such excitement!!! It is hard to believe that we are really doing it; that is, until you see the big opening in the wall!

Dad called this morning. When there was no answer on any of our phones (we were eating pancakes with our nieces at their house),dad got a little worried. Apparently, he had called to see if we were still alive and if our bedroom and bathroom were still where they were supposed to be. I thought it was hilarious and cute!
