We had a really fun night, especially for a Thursday! One of our friends (Rex) from the ward was going to come over and help Trav move some plumbing before they install the beam and start framing tomorrow. He mentioned to Trav that before he could come over, he may need to pick up their baby furniture. Trav offered to help, since Rex is going to be helping us out, and well....that is just the way Trav is. Next thing I know, Rex and his wife, Jaimie are calling to invite us over for dinner. We had a great time visiting during dinner and then all 4 of us went to get the furniture togther. Afterwards, Rex came over and moved the plumbing. He also gave us some other ideas for our remodel, such as moving the door to the bathroom, moving the washer and dryer downstairs and using the (now) washroom space for a pantry, since we don't have one now. Rex will be helping us with our framing and our plumbing. We are really grateful for his help and expertise!
I think Jaimie is coming over with Rex tomorrow and while they frame, we will scrapbook, watch sappy movies, or chat. I even promised I would try to make dinner or at least get good take out. If nothing else, I can always make dessert, right?
It is fun getting to know people in our ward and developing friendships with them!
I will post more house pictures tomorrow after the beam is in, wall is down, and framing is started!
WOO HOO! Here we go! We are really doing it!

Aren't wards great? I am learning that a ward is really what you look to make it. I had no idea before all this craziness that there were so many people in this ward with whom we got along with so well. We are loving this chance to get to know everyone. I'm glad you're having a good time while you guys are at it too. Good luck on the basement remodel! We are excited to see it. You know, in August or so. :) Miss you guys tons!!
