Other Odds and Ends...

In other news, you may ask where we have been.
Trav has been around home and working very hard on house projects.
It is that crazy time of year for teachers; end of term. I have spent most of the last 2 or 3 weeks testing students, entering grades, preparing for conferences, and holding conferences. It is a very rewarding time, but very consuming and tiring. I have also reformatted/organized they way my classroom runs/works. This has been a good change. Behavior has gotten better (and easier to manage). I plan for Monday (Tuesday is the same), Wednesday ( Thursday is the same), and Friday. This means less planning/prep involved=me getting home sooner with less to do at home=happier me and happier husband. Studentsh have been a lot happier and more excited with the change as well!
I also spent some time at the ward Super Saturday and made some very cute things (of which I will post later).
We are slowly changing our blinds from brown to white (just working on main level and family room area right now). Our deadbolt broke the other night, so we went and got new locks for the outside doors (brushed nickel) and are going to slowly start changing over the inside door knobs, hinges, light fixtures, well. We have our cabinet and counter top for the lower bathroom bought and waiting to be installed; we are getting the mirror and wall cabinet later, since it is not a necessity. We have lights for the bathrooms (upper and lower) and the laundry room bought. Trav will be working on doing baseboards this week. Then, it is just electrical finish work, plumbing finish work, window ledges, paint touch up, and carpet. Okay, so really, that is really still quite a bit, especially since we are trying to spread out the cost and do it our selves. However, it means that we are getting close! YEAH!!!

How fun that you found my blog. I am excited to see your's. Lydia LOVED you as a teacher. She talks about you all the time...she lets me know when she sees you at the school. I am being serious when I say that you have to be around when Kyler is in kindergarten. Just think of all the help that I will give you because he is my youngest!!! (Sept 2010)!!!
